The story unfolds in modern day Atlanta, tracing the lives of Delilah and Sarah Bell. In this story we watch these sisters grow from babies to young womanhood. Harold spend a night of passion with Sarah in response his own weaknesses, this only complicates all their lives. The solving of murder and the mystery that follows it, helps to mend these complications. As the story ends the lives of Sarah and Delilah Bell along with Harold and others come together, the two sister are torn no longer.
