When the author decided to analyze the plaque adorning Shakespeare's Funerary Monument in Stratford-upon-Avon's Holy Trinity Church, little did he know that it would begin a series of discoveries leading him beyond the authorship of Shakespeare's works. Not only did it reveal the bombshell information regarding the identity of Francis Bacon's birth parents, but it led beyond the Pillars of Hercules across the ocean to a small island in the North Atlantic. The shocking revelations of the cipher texts not only lead to a famous explorer's map, but that map directly leads to Oak Island, Nova Scotia. They also give instructions for locating the treasure vault of Sir Francis Bacon. In this condensed edition, the author provides the messages from his first book The Holy Trinity Decryption specific to the Oak Island Mystery. Easy to read and accessible to everyone as per popular request, this book cuts out the details of the cipher decryptions, and sticks to the messages as they pertain to everyone's favorite mystery, Oak Island, Nova Scotia.

An in-depth look into the history of a Canadian island rumored to hold buried treasure and of centuries of failed attempts to claim the riches. Updated with new material from the author In 1795, a teenager discovered a mysterious circular depression in the ground on Oak Island, in Nova Scotia, Canada, and ignited rumors of buried treasure. Early excavators uncovered a clay-lined shaft containing layers of soil interspersed with wooden platforms, but when they reached a depth of ninety feet, water poured into the shaft and made further digging impossible. Since then, the mystery of Oak Island’s “Money Pit” has enthralled generations of treasure hunters, including a Boston insurance salesman whose obsession ruined him; a young Franklin Delano Roosevelt; and film star Errol Flynn. Perplexing discoveries have ignited explorers’ imaginations: a flat stone inscribed in code; a flood tunnel draining from a man-made beach; a torn scrap of parchment; stone markers forming a huge cross. Swaths of the island were bulldozed looking for answers; excavation attempts have claimed two lives. Theories abound as to what’s hidden on Oak Island–pirates’ treasure, Marie Antoinette’s lost jewels, the Holy Grail, proof that Sir Francis Bacon was the true author of Shakespeare’s plays–yet to this day, the Money Pit remains an enigma. The Curse of Oak Island is a fascinating account of the strange, rich history of the island and the intrepid treasure hunters who have driven themselves to financial ruin, psychotic breakdowns, and even death in pursuit of answers. And as Michigan brothers Marty and Rick Lagina become the latest to attempt to solve the mystery, as documented on the History Channel’s television show The Curse of Oak Island, Sullivan takes readers along to follow their quest firsthand. Praise for The Curse of Oak Island “Sullivan writes with open-minded balance, rendering the Oak Island story into a weirdly fascinating mystery.” —Booklist “A definitive read for fans of the History Channel television show. Sullivan delves deeper into the history, personalities, and theories presented only briefly on the show. . . . The book is incredibly well researched and the presentation . . . is very readable. If you’ve watched The Curse of Oak Island and were frustrated that snippets and possibilities were left tantalizingly unexplored, this is the book for you.” —Heather Cover, Homewood Library (Birmingham, Alabama) “Sullivan isn’t writing about Oak Island the TV show; his subject is Oak Island the place, largely as seen and imagined by the show’s viewers. So, if you’ve ever been more entranced by the show’s long trips into history and theoretical island encounters across history, Sullivan’s book probably needs to be on your Christmas list.” —Starcasm

An Oak Island Reconstruction: In these rational times, common sense might dictate that it would be rash to spend the greater part of one's life and wealth in search of buried treasure - yet, there are some who have done so. It might seem an even greater folly to pursue such a dream based on the supposed existence of so-called treasure maps - yet some are convinced that this is a reasonable basis for action. For some two hundred years, a long list of hopefuls have poured their wealth, their hearts and their souls into the quest for a treasure reputedly buried on Oak Island, Nova Scotia. The focus of attention has been a deep shaft, long ago dubbed the Money Pit, that has defied all attempts to expose the wealth believed by many to lie in its depths. Could the Money Pit be a trap to snare the unwary? Might it not be more reasonable to suppose that any treasure on Oak Island lies somewhere else on the island and, even, that a set of cryptic treasure maps, which many consider bogus, were actually created in order to locate it? In this book, the author reveals hitherto unpublished information, and presents a scenario that demonstrates this could have been possible.

Oak Island in Perspective: The search for buried treasure lies, for most, in dreams and fantasy - requiring little to spark an interest which, for most people, rapidly fades. It is rare to find tangible and verifiable clues as to the existence of a treasure hoard. When treasure is found, it may have been pursued (for example, by metal detector), but is usually found by chance, and its location is more than likely random. This is not so with Oak Island. It is said that, in 1795, three young men discovered indications of a buried treasure on this island in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. In a clearing, they found an oak tree with a tackle-block overhanging a depression in the ground. This opened up into a shaft that later excavation revealed to be over one hundred and twenty feet deep with a supposed treasure platform which, with the treasure within reach, crashed into the depths. Over the last two hundred years, exploration on the island has revealed many mysterious markers and ground features - but no treasure. The quest for answers to the mystery has generated much speculation. Who was responsible, and what, and where are its origins? In this work, the author looks at some of the thinking that has been applied to the Oak Island mystery, and the possible implications of the discovery of treasure maps that, for a time, were believed to have applied to the island and its treasure.
