Pattison, Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania: Sir: In compliance with the provisions of Section 26, Act of May 1, 1876, entitled An Act to carry out the provisions of section 12, article 3, of the Constitution, in relation to the public printing and binding, and the supply of paper therefor, I have the honor to transmit herewith the annual report of this department on the finances of the Commonwealth, for the fiscal year ended on the 3oth day of November, A. D. 1894, arranged in the following order, to wit: I. Statement showing the receipts of the Treasury, and the sources from which they were derived. II. Statement showing the payments at the Treasury and the pur poses for which they were made. III. Statement showing the monthly receipts and payments at the Treasury, their sources and objects. IV. Statement showing the assessment of State tax in the sev eral counties of the Commonwealth. V. Statement showing the several public loans of the Common wealth, when authorized, for what purpose, amount of loans, rate of interest, when reimbursable, dates of maturity, amount outstand ing and when the interest ceased.
