This report examines recent trends and aspects of the labour market situation in relation to non-standard work. The findings show that while both temporary contracts and self-employment grew - quite considerably in some Member States - during the long economic boom from the mid-1990s up to the onset of the recession in 2007, there has not been an increase in the level of non-standard employment over the past few years - with the exception of part-time work.
