The average fare per mile paid by all passengers was cent, against cents in 1898. The average fare per mile paid by local passengers was 1 98 cent. The average fare paid by through passengers was 1 84 cent. From the above statements it will be seen that the average fare paid by through and by local passengers is very nearly the same per mile.
