But the people and their viewpoints and behavior change slower than the building construction and store fronts around them and it’s the people that Vic observes that he writes about and the meaning of their lives. And his life too. The famous writer J.R.R. Tolkien wrote in The Fellowship of the Ring a much-used quote, “Not all who wander are lost.” And this is the goal of many of Vic’s writings and musings. Each one of us has an observation about our goals in life and how we may or may not succeed in reaching them. But we all are looking for our own meaning in life and it may take some time to attain what that goal is. Many times, the wandering can be quite amusing, teaching us that the voyage itself was the real goal all along. Enjoy!

The author's writing style is educational, informative, easy to read, and to understand. It expresses a positive, yet analytical viewpoint, that reasons out the criticisms posted against religious orthodoxies. The author does not attempt to bash anyone or any religion by analyzing the content and context of what they present as truth, or even the existence of the God sapients created centuries ago. The author simply points out how religion and related fictional persons known as "saints" came about, and how it was thought all else came to be, when it wasn't, or didn't. The author points out the horrible relationship early humans thought they had with their God, and always ended up blaming themselves as the reason they fell so frequently to His punishments. When many people did not want to worship as the programmed (gullibles) did, nor believe as they did, the programmed looked for an enforcement tool, and thought they found it, and called it "hell." As the author notes, EVERYTHING IN EXISTENCE DIES, and so will religion and the God notion. In addition to other musings, individuals are given new ways to think about reality, what it really is and is not. What it is not is fantasy. Individuals need not fear, nor go about as fear-based humans, because of their prior programming; just go about as seekers of truth, enjoying what that endeavor will bring, to each individual's mind.

The poems in this book were extrapolated from the author's extensive writings beginning in 1961 to 1985 during which period she was involved in psychological therapy and at times hypnotism. Erminia's first twenty years were beset with traumatic experiences. Not knowing whom to trust, she received no help in dealing with them. She had no inkling that she was burring the episodes and their effects thereby enabling her to cope with current difficulties and to succeed academically. She married, bore five children, was involved in her husband's and children's activities and in her community and church functions. As a licensed cosmetologist, she operated a small shop in her home. Erminia did not realize she was running on "empty" until she began to experience strange mental "waves" which she quieted by resting in bed until they disappeared. Because the latter continued, were more frequent and intense, she believed she had no recourse but to seek psychological assistance. She let no one, not even her husband, know that she was having problems. With the support of her therapists, she was able to bring forth the past traumatic experiences. She was no longer troubled by the "waves" which had driven her to seek help. Throughout the many years of therapy she wrote extensively about it and its outcome. She filled dozens of spiral notebooks and single lined sheets of paper about outcomes of her therapy and her return to normalcy. She continues to write about her life and activities but to a significantly lesser degree.
