In her stunningly transparent memoir, From Shattered to Restored, Nanette Larson shares her journey from a life of constant hopelessness and despair, deep depression, crippling anxiety, and suicidality, to one full of victorious hope and purpose. In this life-changing Restoration Guide, Nanette expands on the faith and recovery principles first shared in her memoir to help readers develop a deep and abiding relationship with God as they recover hope and discover purpose in their own lives. This companion Restoration Guide offers practical application of faith and recovery principles for small groups and individuals. Each chapter mirrors its respective chapter in the memoir, utilizing study questions, points for reflection, prayers, pertinent Scripture, and more. Through the teaching and interactive prompts in the Restoration Guide, the reader will learn how to apply four essential principles of restoration that are continuously woven throughout the journey of recovery and discovery: 1.Abide in Christ. 2.Cast down every high thing that exalts itself above the knowledge of God. 3.Renew your mind through the Word of God. 4.Yield to the Holy Spirit. Position your heart for the Holy Spirit to do the real work of recovery and discovery as you open the pages of your heart before God with the pages of the Restoration Guide.

"I just want you to know that God can change absolutely anything." It was a simple statement, but it changed her life. In this stunningly transparent memoir, Nanette Larson shares her journey from a life of constant hopelessness and despair, deep depression, crippling anxiety, and suicidality to one full of victorious hope and purpose. After years of receiving unsuccessful treatments--therapy, medication, hospitalization, and more--for her mental and physical illnesses, Nanette finally found wholeness in the person of Jesus Christ. Realizing that she had allowed the labels that had been pasted upon her by medical professionals and society alike to define who she was, Nanette changed her perspective by seeing herself through the eyes of her Maker. She was not "sick in the head"; she had an illness, and God was healing her. Taking control of her thoughts was only the first step of a winding road to wellness, however. As a mental health professional herself, Nanette now shares with her readers the techniques that helped her address every part of her being--spirit, soul, and body. From distressed patient to nationally recognized deputy director and ambassador of Wellness & Recovery Services for the Illinois Division of Mental Health, Nanette is living proof that full recovery from mental health issues is, indeed, possible, and a successful, happy, healthy life can be found on the other side of the struggle. "More than a memoir, From Shattered to Restored is both manual and miracle. For anyone struggling with mental illness, Larson offers hope and solid help, wrapped in her own vulnerable story. An excellent tool for churches, small groups, and recovery support groups." --Jane Rubietta, Speaker, coach, and author of twenty books, including Worry Less So You Can Live More

Broken, Shattered & Healed is an inspirational story inspired by the personal struggles after years of abuse, alcohol dependency, abandonment, and depression. It is a journey of downward and upward spirals I faced and overcoming the obstacles and the journey it took to get back on the right path to pursue my purpose in life. It is by no means a self-help book but rather a testimonial of how God took a broken and shattered vessel and mended the pieces together and broke the chains of the past. This process ultimately led to my being set free from people and a torn past. This book is meant to inspire every woman who has a broken past to understand that life doesn't have to end because of what was. There is hope, and there is a future awaiting you. Nothing that you have done has to keep you where you are. There is healing, and God wants to restore you to your rightful place. You may have been broken, and your spirit may have been shattered. But God is waiting to restore all that was taken from you and move you into this life of hope and purpose. Be encouraged as you read these pages and find hope in knowing that there is life after the pain. Be restored in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Newly married, building a business, wrestling with his parents' preaching legacy and his own calling, Aaron soon discovers he has gotten more than he bargained for. Then his "hidden" past comes back to taunt him. An old story with new characters emerges with Devin as the star. A jewel is considered to be a prized, valuable, expensive, and worthy possession. When owned, they are kept in a safe place if they aren't worn. When worn, they are admirable and receive much praise. Each jewel comes with a story. From a wedding ring, jewels passed down through generations, to jewels received on a special occasion. They each tell their very own story that is different from other jewels. God sees your heart as precious, valuable, and worthy jewels that He holds in His hands. In His eyes, each heart sparkles bright and He desires for all of us to see the sparkle as well. Each heart has a story that is different from others. However, those stories can relate to others, but even with similarities, your story is very personal and unique to you. It is the journey of life you have endured and walked through to get to where you are today. And it continues to tell a story each day you live until you meet with God face-to-face. However, there are parts of our hearts that have been shattered and wounded so deeply by experiences that we have or are currently walking through. God, being the Craftsman of our hearts, desires to take each shattered piece and mend them back together through restoration, to be the bright shining jewel He has created it to be. Walk with me these next five weeks as God takes you through the process of restoration as I highlight my own journey of being restored from a "once shattered jewel."

We read on almost a daily basis of pastors, assistant pastors, and ministry workers that have fallen into sin. Even though they are our brothers and sisters in Christ, we, as the body of Christ, tend to judge, reject, or at the least become indifferent to these fallen servants. What can and should be done for these men and ladies that have fallen? Should they be left to themselves to figure it out or earn their path to restoration? The Bible is a book of restoration. My hope and desire with this book are to help many not only to understand the devastation of one that has fallen but also to help the fallen on the path to restoration. Many of our Biblical heroes were guilty of moral failures, yet over and over we see a gracious and loving God and Saviour that picks up the fallen. He not only forgives them but also restores them to fruitful service in ministry once again. Often, we see their lives afterward become greater and more effective in the kingdom of Christ. The tragedy is, though, that many do not know what to do with a fallen Christian. Many struggle to counsel a marriage or a family that has been broken and hurt because of sin. This book helps the reader to understand the mind of God regarding restoration and gives direction on how to guide one back to usefulness and victory. Read about my own personal testimony of failure and my path to being restored. God has been gracious to me and has helped me to help others. May He help you as well.
