Certainly every well-informed business man ought to know something about the way in which bankrupt estates are administered and about the rights, duties and liabilities of bankrupts and creditors. Indeed, the credit men's associations have been urging business men to participate in the administration of bankrupt estates as receivers and as trustees; probably unfamiliarity with the law has been the chief cause of the business man's reticence.
