This book is written for the Christian who is struggling to reconcile the demands of the Scripture with his own condition. It is more than just "getting saved" and living happily ever after. Salvation propels us by the grace of God through an often difficult life and into eternity. For now, we need encouragement, healing, correction and renewal under the tutelage of the indwelling Holy Spirit. He brings with Him every good fruit including joy through my circumstances, a love for people and the desire to know God. He removes the root(s) of sin so that my only desire is to be near Jesus, to bring Him blessing, honor, glory and power, because they belong to Him and Him alone.
