Between March 1990 and November 1992, a sample of 27 field and support facilities operated by the Indiana Department of Transportation were visited by staff of the Environmental Management and Education Program, School of Civil Engineering, Purdue University, for the purpose of conducting workplace assessments to ascertain the department's compliance with federal and state environmental and worker protection regulations.
