Excerpt from Catalogue of the Library of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin: First Supplement The first Supplementary Catalogue of the Library of the State Historical Society is published agreeably to chapter 105, of the general laws of 1871. The Catalogue of 1873, included all the books and pamphlets up to July 1, 1873, and the present supplement, the additions to August 1, 1875. The present number of titles registered to that date is about 65,000. The present Catalogue contains all the miscellaneous works in the State Library which were transferred to this Library by act if the Legislature of 1875, in addition to books received by donation and purchase. As will be seen, large additions have been made to the history of the rebellion, and also works relating to American Indians obtained by purchase at the sale of the private library of T. W.
