El Programa de Desarrollo de Recursos Humanos en Salud de la OPS, a traves del Sistema de Informacion y Documentacion en Recursos Humanos en Salud (SIDORH), ha publicado esta bibliografia anotada por considerarse que el tema de la regulacion, resulta de vital importancia en el contexto de la modernizacion del Estado y la puesta en marcha de los procesos de reforma en el sector salud. Respecto del enfoque de la economia positiva y la Public Choice, sobresalen las obras de Stigler y Buchanan. La ultima parte de la bibliografia que esta dedicada al analisis del mercado, las relaciones de trabajo y las profesiones, presenta obras de diferentes autores, entre ellos: Dussault, Coburn y Girardi.
