Among the messages that fly in the face of the usual feel-good sentiments of self-help books, Yost offers readers real challenges to their belief systems: • People “download” much of what their parents have programmed them with, consciously or unconsciously, over generations. Much of it is no longer useful, and is in fact destructive for relationships in today’s world. • Forgiveness is too often used as a cure-all that will make pain go away. It won’t. • Confronting and working through emotional pain is the path to healing and happiness. • Outdated religious mores can actually prevent victims from healing. About the Book Facing the Truth of Your Life will help the reader reframe their view of themselves and their place in life, creating the space to explore and question what they think they know: in short, to face their real truth. With short life stories, exercises and chapters covering spirituality, being a victim, how to parent healthy children, the many faces of shame and how it complicates all of our relationships, Facing the Truth of Your Life challenges the reader to address many of the things we do to prevent our feelings and keep from knowing ourselves. Facing the Truth of Your Life is about walking through your pain. It is about understanding how you became you, how to discard what you were taught about yourself, and how to find out who you really are.

Second, no set with computable enumerable Turing degree can have minimal weak truth table degree. I have been thinking about the philosophical issue of truth for more than two decades. It is one of several fascinating philosophical issues that motivated me to change my primary re ective interest to philosophy after receiving BS in mathem- ics in 1982. Some serious academic work in this connection started around the late eighties when I translated into Chinese a dozen of Donald Davidson’s representative essays on truth and meaning and when I assumed translator for Adam Morton who gave a series of lectures on the issue in Beijing (1988), which was co-sponsored by my then institution (Institute of Philosophy, Chinese Academy of Social Science). I have loved the issue both for its own sake (as one speci c major issue in the phil- ophy of language and metaphysics) and for the sake of its signi cant involvement in many philosophical issues in different subjects of philosophy. Having been attracted to the analytic approach, I was then interested in looking at the issue both from the points of view of classical Chinese philosophy and Marxist philosophy, two major styles or frameworks of doing philosophy during that time in China, and from the point of view of contemporary analytic philosophy, which was then less recognized in the Chinese philosophical circle.

Search for the Truth shares one method of tearing down the gates of deceit that grip our world. This book is a compliation of articles which have been printed in dozens of public newspapers and church newsletters showing how well the evidence from science supports a Biblical creation viewpoint. Permission is granted for others to do the same. Also included is a sample of the many letters to the editor that resulted and the impact upon readers. This book is divided into six sections corresponding to the different scientific disciplines dealing with the evidence for, or relevance of, creation. Each section contains individual articles about evidence for creation from these varied scientific disciplines. Anything in this book can be copied and shared with others or put to use as suggested in the last section by printing it in local newspapers. The short chapters between the Searcharticles provide a running narrative of how this book came to be, how God has used my life and this material in miraculous ways, and how you can put the same information to use.
