Excerpt from Proceedings of Stockholders of North Carolina Railroad Company: Sixty-First Annual Meeting, Greensboro, North Carolina, July 13th, 1911 Col. B. Cameron moved that Col. J. T. Morehead be elected Chairman of the Meeting, which motion was duly seconded and unanimously adopted. Col. Morehead took the chair, and requested A. H. Eller, Secretary, to record the Minutes of the Meeting. The Chairman then called upon the proxy committee appointed at the annual meeting of 1910, to-wit: C. D. Benbow and L. M. Michaux to make its report. Mr. Benbow reported for the Committee as follows: Private stock represented in present 1494 shares. Private stock represented by proxy 4815 shares. Total 6309 shares. The chairman then called for the credentials of the State's proxy, there upon Mr. J. M. Reece responded and presented his commission issued by Governor W. W. Kitchin. The Chairman then announced that there was a gurom present, and that the meeting was duly constituted and organized and ready for the transaction of business. The Minutes of the last stock holders' meeting were then read by the Secretary and approved without amendment.
