Robinette, vice-president of the club and general manager of the Tropical Paint & Oil Co., is the club's representative on the Community Betterment Council and chairman of the council's clean-up committee this year. It was on his motion that the club voted its donation of a half million packets of seed. BOSTON CLEAN UP BEGINS MONDAY. Plans are now well under way for the Boston Clean-Up Campaign, opening period of which will be April 18th to May 7th. A meeting of the committee was held on Thursday, April 7th with Chairman Thomas H. Bilodeau presiding. John R. Murphy, fire commissioner of Boston, addressed the meeting on fire prevention and praised the committee for the splendid work they were doing to help reduce fire losses. Commissioner Mur.phy stated that many fires start in rubbish and 80 per cent of the fires start as a result of carelessness. George C. Morton, treasurer of the committee, reported contributions to the fund as $165 with many business houses and citizens yet to be...
